To ensure the best performance of the glue, the workers on the production line need to pay attention to these key points:

1.Temperature is crucial:

The recommended operating temperature range is between 160°C and 180°C. The specific temperature needs to be adjusted based on your equipment, production line speed, and environment. Remember, the set temperature in winter is usually a little higher than that in summer.

2.The condition of the base material is very important:

the paper box to be sealed should not be too cold. If the paper box is stored in a warehouse without heating, it is best to let them return to room temperature before use. Otherwise, the cold cardboard will cause the hot glue to cool down instantly, and it will not be able to stick properly.

3.The amount of glue should be appropriate:

Don’t think that the more glue you apply, the stronger it will be. Applying too much glue will actually slow down the curing process and may cause the carton to spring open immediately after being pressed. An even and moderate amount of glue line is the best.

4.The pressing process must be done promptly:

The “open time” for hot melt adhesive, which is the period from when it is sprayed out until it loses its adhesive property and becomes inactive, is very short. After spraying the adhesive, the paper box cover plate must be folded immediately and accurately, and sufficient pressure must be applied for pressing to complete this final step in forming a firm bond.

4.The equipment should be kept clean:

Regularly clean the glue pot and nozzle in accordance with the instructions provided by the equipment manufacturer to prevent carbon deposits from affecting the performance of the new glue and the stability of the glue output.
